4 Lamp Rapid Start Ballast Replaced with Instant Start Diagram

4 lamp rapid start magnetic ballasts should be replaced with one 4 lamp instant start electronic ballast. Each lampholder has four separate connections.

1. Connect each of the individual blue wires from the instant start ballast to each pair of the lampholder individual wires (red and blue) of lamps 1 and 2.

2. Connect each of the individual red wires from the instant start ballast to each pair of the lampholder individual wires (red and blue) of lamps 3 and 4.

3. Connect one of the common yellow wires from the instant start ballast to the yellow pair of lampholder common wires of lamps 1 and 2. Connect the other common yellow wire from the instant start ballast to the yellow pair of lampholder common wires of lamps 3 and 4.
